Jim Schuster, now retired,  has kept these informational pages up for you to have as a resource.  Hope you enjoy!
Jim was licensed to practice law in Michigan in1978.  He maintains his status as a Certified Elder Law Attorney. Jim is an authority on the Michigan Medicaid Nursing Home rules, a subject with which not many lawyers are familiar. He is the former chair of the Michigan State Bar Elder Law Section and member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, a writer on Elder Law topics.  Jim has had articles on Elder Law published in the Michigan Lawyers Weekly, the Detroit Legal News, the Michigan State Bar Journal, and Laches, the publication of the Oakland County Bar Association. He was an instructor for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and a frequent speaker to professional and support groups. He has been a certified speaker of the Detroit Area Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Jim is still active in Elder Law education. Most recently he has authored articles for the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
